The goal of the MBBA is to provide a high quality basketball experience that promotes player and team development, while playing competitive basketball on a traveling tournament team.
Summer Shooting & Dribbling Challenge
Welcome to the Summer Challenges – includes both shooting & dribbling! As players you are already putting in the hard work, why not receive a free t-shirt, some recognition & an opportunity to have pizza with the Minnetonka Boys Varsity Basketball team? This program is designed to provide the players an opportunity to track their shooting & dribbling progress throughout the summer (June 11th - Sept 1).
Players are developed in the offseason, while teams are developed during the season.
We are conducting a 1-hr shooting clinic for all 4th-8th grade players. The session will be led by current board members that were former college basketball players. The focus will be on cover the fundamentals of positioning (feet, hands & arms) and we will provide drills that the players can leverage after the clinic.
One twist - a parent must attend. The reason is because parents have the ability to watch their son shoot throughout the summer and can help correct their form. We want each parent to bring a cell phone so they can video the son with the correct form (at the clinic) and use it as a reference guide at home.
To register click here with the players name, age and parent attending.
Requirements: Bring a ball, cell phone and parent!
Registration Deadline: July 25th
We have reserved open gym time to provide players the opportunity to work on developing their game – whether specific skills or through pick-up games. Available to all boys entering 4th-8th grades this fall and live in the Minnetonka school district. The MBBA will have a chaperone present at the gym so feel free to stay & watch or drop off your son.

Midwest 3-on-3 Leagues
These basketball leagues are designed for boys and girls grades 3-12. The Midwest 3 on 3 leagues offer an exciting, affordable opportunity to enhance individual and team skills. The smaller team size increases offensive and defensive opportunities for each player through basic fundamental team play.
